Post 6: postgrade studies

I don’t really think in postgrade because I have two years left of my career, but I would like to try to get in the Master in Archaeology in this University, because it’s a program to deepen in the contents. But I would actually like to know about many subject, such as cultural heritage, ostearcheology, architecture, etc. Anyway, I would like to study in the UNAM in Mexico, because I love the Maya civilization, or in the UCL, or any University in the UK really, because everything is cool there. I would like to do a PhD, but that’s something that I would think in the future. Anyway, I would like to study in America because I love to study about our past, and we have a lot of important places of different cultures, so I would be placed to study in a country like Perú, for example. I would like to study on-site because it’s important in the career the contact with the materials. I would have to make efforts for any scholarship because everyone knows that the postgrades are really expensi

My future job

Hi, today I'm gonna talk about another difficult topic for me, which is MY FUTURE JOB.  I've never thought of where I would like to work in the future, because I'm a undecided person, so I'm always changing my mind and my plans. Actually I wanted to be a history teacher, but then I realized that I wanted to study Anthropology, and then I changed my mind again and realized that I wanted to be an Archaeologist, but it wasn't an easy decision, because I also wanted to be a physical anthropologist too.  So here I am, studying Archaeology, and thinking in what I would like to specialize.   The benefit of this career is that I would have to be in the outdoor most of the time, I like to be on the field, because I think that offices are very boring. I would have to be in office too, analyzing the artifacts, obviously.  So, if I imagine the Valentina of the future, I would like to be in the Norte Chico (which is my favorite subject) investigating some rock shelters. Someone I would like to meet

Hi everybody Today I’m gonna talk about someone I would like to meet and it’s really hard to choose, because I don’t admire much people, actually I like soccer so I would like to meet someone like Esteban Paredes, Marcelo Barticciotto, Daniel Moron or Cristiano Ronaldo if I dream big. But now I prefer to choose a woman, which it’s difficult too because there are so many amazing women in the history that I would have liked to met in person, like Gladys Marin or Lady Di. So I’d like to meet the amazing Miley Cyrus. I feel like a teenager, don’t judge me, but I’m a huge fan of Miley, even rock it’s my favorite music style, she is part of my childhood and adolescence. Actually I’ve recently seen the first season of Hannah Montana again. She is an American singer and actress, from Tennesse, his father is a country singer (Billy Ray Cyrus) and her first project was the TV show Hannah Montana . Post 3: My favorite Movie

Hello, today I'm gonna talk about my favorite movie, this is also a hard decision because I'm not really a person who enjoys watching a lot of movies, I just watch the ones that everybody, specially my brother, tells me to watch. So, that doesn't mean that I haven't seen any movie, actually I have seen some pretty good ones, like Donnie Darko, a few of Studio Ghibli like Grave of the fireflies ( La tumba de las luciérnagas ) or Spirited Away ( El viaje de Chihiro ). So, if I have to choose one, I would pick Grave of the fireflies ( if you haven't seen it yet, DO IT) This is a Japonese animated war movie based on a semi-autobiographical story of a Japonese called Akiyuki Nosaka. It was released in 1988, animated by Studio Ghibli, but there's also the live-action version that was released in 2005. This film is really beautiful and sad. I cried when I watched it for the first time, but I'm not a good reference because everything makes me wanna cry. A

Post 2: The best concert ever

Hi there, today I’m going to talk about my favorite concert. It’s really hard to me to choose one concert because I have been in many concerts of my favorite bands, but I could make the effort to choose one. My options are, like I already said, many, such as Guns ‘n roses, Pearl Jam, Linkin Park, Franz Ferdinand, Green day, Metallica, Muse, etc. I really enjoy going to concerts. I think that the best one was Pearl Jam in November of   2015, at Estadio Nacional. I went with my big brother, and it was amazing because every concert of the band in Chile (I have seen them three times) it’s really cool, not only because of the music, it’s more than that, they just make you feel that they love to be in Chile, drinking wine and singing their best songs. But also, Eddie Vedder has an amazing voice, not like when he was young, but it's still great. The setlist was really good for me, and even I was really tired because there were so many people and the crowd was really crazy, I just ju

Post one: A country I would like to visit

Hi there!  If I have to choose one country of the world, I would choose to visit Belgium. I really like this country because it’s not a big one, but it has a lot of beautiful cities with a great architecture. Also, I find interesting the fact that they talk French, German and Flemish. If I could be there, I would like to go to the main cities, like Brussels, Bruges or Ghent, because I have seen photos of it and it seems really amazing the organization and structures of the buildings, because they are heritages from de middle age and the next periods of the development of the European culture. The previous lines may sound really evolutionist, but that’s not my point, sorry for that, I just like the old castles. I would also like to eat chocolate, because the Belgium chocolate is really famous, like the cheese and beer. I think that a good idea is to travel through the country by train, because the landscape is really nice, or that’s what some people have told me. I would love to

Hi, I'm Valentina, I study Anthropology with major in Archeology, I'm in third year and this is my first class of the last level of English at university.
